Fact – children learn better when a subject is taught in a fun and exciting way. We all remember one or two specific lessons from our time at school that were particularly exciting. It may have involved a trip out of the classroom or even just something that was a little more practical than sitting and reading out of text books.

As a teacher you will be expected to teach pupils a subject and that they will remember the information that you have given them and this can be very hard particularly with certain topics that are not necessarily naturally interesting.

If you are struggling for ideas, then the internet can be a great source, full of educational websites and forums where other professionals share their ideas and previous success stories. If you are going to plan a lesson that is a little different you will need to consider that the children may become a little too excited at times and so you need to get the balance right and ensure that there is quiet time when they can stop and take in the information you have given them.
