With the summer holidays upon us, it is a great time to learn about how you can help your child’s education at home. Some people think that their child can learn all they need to in regard to education from school, but studies have shown that children who receive extra educational activities at home do usually excel at school.
You do not have to be a teacher or be outstanding at maths and English etc. to be able to aid your child’s learning, there are many simple things you can do.
Making worksheets in a notepad or on a piece of paper with some basic sums or spellings can be one way but if you want to do something a little more interesting, then why not do counting with raisins or by using a brightly coloured abacus. Spelling is much more fun when taught with fridge magnets or even a simplified version of Scrabble.
